Inflation decreased in Azerbaijan


In January-June of this year, prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan increased by three per cent compared to the first half of 2017, the State Statistics Committee said today.

Prices for foodstuffs increased by 3% over this period, for non-food products - by 3.8%, and for paid services - by 2.4%.

The cost of food products fell by 1.6 per cent during the month, while prices for non-food products and the cost of paid services remained unchanged.

It should be noted that in January-May 2018, inflation in Azerbaijan was 3.2 per cent, and in 2017 - 12.9 per cent.
