Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee announced inflation figures


In January-August of this year, prices for consumer goods and services in Azerbaijan increased by 2.6% compared to the same period last year, including food, alcohol and tobacco - 3.3%, non-food products - 1, 3%, tariffs for paid services provided to the population - 2.7%. This is stated in a report of the State Committee on Statistics.

The report said that in August alone, compared with the previous month, the cost of consumer goods and services decreased by 0.3%, including food, alcohol and tobacco products - 0.8%, and tariffs on paid services rendered to the population increased by 0.1%. Non-food prices remained stable.
