Former PM Shaukat Aziz: 'Pakistan wants to arm Azerbaijan' (Exclusive)

Pakistan is ready to supply modern weapons to Azerbaijan and develop military cooperation with our country, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz told Azeri Daily.

'Our states have common interests related to security and defence issues. Pakistan supplies weapons to many countries. It seems to me that it is also worthwhile for Azerbaijan to acquire more actively various weapon systems developed in Pakistan, which have proved themselves well on the world arms market,' he said.

Note that Pakistan is the only country in the world that does not recognise Armenia. In addition, Pakistan was the first in the world to adopt a resolution condemning the genocide against the peaceful population of Khojaly committed by Armenian armed forces.

Islamabad also called on the international community to force Armenia to comply with UN Security Council resolutions.
