Lapshin wrote to Ilham Aliyev: 'Karabakh was and will be Azerbaijan's true land'

Immediately after his pardon, blogger Alexander Lapshin wrote a letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and thanked him for this manifestation of humanism.

'Today I have learned that you signed a decree on my pardon. I am immensely grateful to you. Probably, I did not expect a single event in my life with such impatience!' says Lapshin in his letter, a copy of which has become available to the editorial staff of Azeri Daily.

In his address to the President of Azerbaijan, the blogger states that he regrets what he did, noting that he did not have reliable information about the events in the region during his visit to Nagorno-Karabakh.

'Now I have received undeniable evidence that Karabakh was and will be the true land of Azerbaijan. I hope that the issue of Karabakh will be resolved taking into account the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,' the letter says.

The blogger also wished the Azerbaijani people the soonest liberation of the occupied territories.

'Once again, I sincerely regret my irresponsible actions. Thank you very much for the understanding and clemency that you showed in my case.

Allow me to wish you, your family, all the people of Azerbaijan health, longevity, further prosperity and the speedy liberation of the occupied territories,' Lapshin wrote.
