Venezuela is currently delivering 47,000 barrels of oil worth $2.58 million to Cuba daily despite falling hydrocarbon output, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido wrote on his official Twitter account on Wednesday, TASS reports.

"Venezuela now more than ever needs its own resources to use them to the country's benefit instead of financing others' dark intentions," Guaido said. "Cuba's interference [into Venezuelan affairs] has been allowed for many years and was justified by ideological brotherhood which only consisted of delivering our oil to Cuba free of charge and infiltration of Venezuela's armed forces," he added.

Earlier this week Guaido called for stopping hydrocarbons deliveries to Cuba.

On January 23 Venezuelan National Assembly Speaker Juan Guaido proclaimed himself as the country's acting president. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has described it as a coup attempt and announced severing diplomatic relations with the United States. On January 28 the US imposed sancitons on Venezuela's state-owned PDVSA oil company.
