Ministry of Internal Affairs on opening police station in Shusha



Shusha Police Department has been transferred to the city of Shusha. The department employees are already in the city liberated from the occupation. Head of the Shusha City Police Department has been appointed the commandant of the city.

According to the Spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Ehsan Zahidov, in accordance with the decree of President Ilham Aliyev 'On the organisation of temporary special administration in the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation,' by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, police departments are transferred to the liberated from the occupation districts.

E. Zahidov also noted that in accordance with the administrative-territorial division of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the police departments will exercise special control in each district as temporary commandant's offices.

The city of Shusha was liberated from the Armenian occupation on November 8, 2020.
