Ilham Aliyev visited military unit in Nakhchivan (Photo, Updated)


Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday during a visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic attended the opening of soldiers' barracks and military-service complex in the N military unit of the Separate Army, informs the official website of the head of state.

Deputy Defence Minister of Azerbaijan, Commander of the Separate Army, Lieutenant General Karam Mustafayev gave a report to the president.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the soldiers' barracks were built, as well as a military-service complex, etc.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolising the opening of the barracks and the military-service complex.

President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev got familiarised with the conditions created in the soldiers' barracks.

Then the head of state familiarised himself with the new military equipment.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended a groundbreaking ceremony of Ordubad Hydroelectric Power Plant, informs the official wesbite of the head of state.

The head of state was informed that the capacity of the Hydroelectric Power Plant will be 36 MW. The diversion-type plant will be located on the Araz River.

The reservoir with the capacity of 1.5 million cubic meters will be built for the plant. Three units with the capacity of 12 MW each will be installed. The length of the diversion-type canal will be 12,738 metres.

The head of state laid a foundation stone for the new plant.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today arrived in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for a visit, informs the official website of the head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov.

A guard of honour was lined up for the head of state at Nakhchivan International Airport.

President Ilham Aliyev met with members of the government of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
