Prosecutor General's Office reported on fight against corruption (133 officials indicted)

'During the first half of 2017, the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General examined appeals of 3,656 citizens,' said Kamran Aliyev, head of the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, during today's press conference.

According to him, 125 criminal materials were investigated. In connection with 75 of them, criminal cases were instituted, according to 50 materials, acts of the prosecutor's response were compiled, and 29 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility.

Kamran Aliyev said that during the first half of 2017, 103 criminal cases against 133 officials working in the public and private sectors were sent to the courts upon completion of the investigation.
