Ilham Aliyev: 'All responsibility will fall personally on Pashinyan'

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, in his contradictory statements, tries in every possible way to disrupt the negotiation process for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. As informs the press-service of the Azerbaijani head of state, President Ilham Aliyev stated this at a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Tomas Greminger.

The report says that during the meeting one of the main issues discussed was the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Ilham Aliyev stressed that the new Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan from the first days had been making contradictory statements on the conflict settlement and these statements are at least surprising.

Ilham Aliyev said the unacceptability of the thesis that 'Azerbaijan should negotiate with the 'Nagorno-Karabakh republic.'

Azerbaijan also categorically rejects statements that the occupied Azerbaijani territories are allegedly part of the 'Nagorno-Karabakh republic.' In this regard, Azerbaijan calls on the OSCE to respond to such dangerous statements. On the whole, the Azerbaijani side gets the impression that Pashinyan is trying by all means to break the negotiation process. In this case, all responsibility will fall on the Armenian side and personally on Pashinyan.

Ilham Aliyev also called on the OSCE not to remain aloof from the current political situation in Armenia, in particular the massive violation of human rights, the arrest of political opponents, the emergence of a new dictatorial regime in Armenia.

The President of Azerbaijan and the OSCE Secretary General also discussed issues of regional security, development of democracy, economic cooperation.
