Grandma asked, Ilham Aliyev did

During his visit to Agsu, President Ilham Aliyev met with local resident Hajar Zeynalova. During the conversation, the elderly woman asked the head of state to help her grandson, 29-year-old Murad Zamanov, who is experiencing serious vision problems.

Hajar Zeynalova noted that the boy needed an urgent operation, otherwise he would completely lose his sight. President Ilham Aliyev gave instructions to help the young man and noted that, if necessary, he would be sent abroad for treatment.

Azeri Daily learned that with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Murad Zamanov today went to Turkey for treatment.

'After the order of Mr President, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation arranged my examination at the Zarifa Aliyeva National Ophthalmology Centre and in private clinics. It was decided that my treatment should be continued in Turkey. I am to be examined in one of the most famous clinics in Istanbul. I am sure that I will be cured. I express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown to me. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is doing everything for me to recover as soon as possible,' said Murad Zamanov in an interview with journalists.
