'I am glad that the service, created on my initiative, is received with great interest and sympathy not only in our country, but also abroad. I am glad that the level of approval by citizens of ASAN services is 99.4 per cent. In other words, this shows that this service is indeed a great achievement and has caused significant changes in the field of public and social services. At the same time, ASAN has generated revolutionary changes in the minds of our society. Because the public services sector has always been very problematic, and citizens have suffered greatly from this. Bureaucracy, red tape, corruption and bribery were the main problems of this sector. With the launch of the ASAN service, full transparency has already been achieved,' President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening ceremony of the ASAN Həyat complex in Shamakhi, informs the press-service of the president.

According to the head of state, ASAN is expanding its geography. This is the 16th centre; currently, construction works at four centres are being completed. The centres in Kurdamir, Agjabadi and Tovuz are already ready, and the ASAN service in Balakan will be commissioned next year: 'I received information that, despite the fact that five ASAN service centres operate in Baku, queues are being formed at these centres. Therefore, I instructed that two additional centres be opened in Baku. And in Sumgayit and Ganja - the second ASAN service centres in a row.

For a long time there has been an ASAN mobile service, more than ten buses are constantly running around the country, and the ASAN train also operates. Almost every corner of our country is covered by such excellent services.'

Ilham Aliyev also noted the importance of the service in the systemic fight against corruption: 'ASAN service is one of the most effective mechanisms to combat corruption and bribery. Radical measures are being taken on these issues. Azerbaijan is implementing practical measures to eradicate or at least significantly reduce corruption. These steps give and will give effect.

Therefore, along with administrative measures, punitive measures, institutional measures must also be taken so that we can reduce the scale of corruption and bribery and thereby bring Azerbaijan onto the path of modern, very fast development. And we are achieving this.'

The president also noted that ASAN, led by its management, is actively expanding its functions: 'Each time a similar centre is opened, I come across another new product. From the information that comes to me, I see that from year to year opportunities are created in order to harness innovation, and these innovations will be introduced.'
