Government will report to Parliament


Milli Majlis at a meeting on 3 April plans to hear a government report on the results of socio-economic development of Azerbaijan in 2019.

'The government is likely to report to the parliament on its activities in 2019 at a plenary meeting on 3 April,' Interfax-Azerbaijan reports citing a government source.

According to the legislation, at the fifth plenary session of the parliament at the spring session, the government reports on activities in the past year.

A source in parliament also told the agency that the next plenary meeting of the legislature is scheduled for 30 March: 'This will be the fourth parliamentary meeting in 2020.'

The government report contains an analysis of the macroeconomic situation in the republic, data on the execution of the state budget last year, the development of certain segments of the financial market, government actions aimed at solving social problems, issues of cooperation with international financial institutions, etc.
