Ilham Aliyev will discuss with Putin peace with Armenia and bilateral relations (Updated)


On July 20, 2021, Russia's President Vladimir Putin will hold talks in Moscow with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who will be in Russia on a working visit, informs the Kremlin press-service.

The presidents will discuss key issues of strengthening Russia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership with a focus on cooperation in trade, investment and humanitarian affairs.

Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev will also exchange views on topical regional problems. Special attention will be paid to the practical aspects of implementing the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020, and on January 11, 2021, including resuming and developing economic ties and transport links.

A working visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Moscow is being prepared. This was announced to reporters on Monday by the Spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, TASS informs.

'Such a working visit is being prepared,' he said.

'This is a working visit. It is planned to verify some issues,' he stressed, answering the question of whether it is planned to adopt any documents following the visit of the Azerbaijani leader.
