During trilateral talks in Sochi with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is ready to begin delimitation of the border with Armenia.

The President of Azerbaijan stated that Baku supports Moscow's consultative support on the border issue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, in his words, the Azerbaijani side is ready to start the process.

'The topic of determining the borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We also highly appreciate the support, including consultative, of the Russian side in this matter. The borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan are not delimited. Therefore, we have repeatedly publicly expressed that we are ready to start an urgent delimitation process. Moreover, we also publicly offered the Armenian side to start work on a peace treaty to end the confrontation, to recognise the territorial integrity and sovereignty of each other. To live in the future as neighbours and learn to live as neighbours anew,' said Ilham Aliyev.

The topic of unblocking communications is one of the most important of those that have not been fulfilled, President Ilham Aliyev said. 'The topic of unblocking communications is one of the important ones that have not been fulfilled, because the points of the Trilateral Statement, which was signed in November last year, are practically all fulfilled,' Aliyev said on Friday in Sochi during a trilateral meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia.

Ilham Aliyev said that the situation in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh is stable, they ensure security in the region: 'In general, the situation in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers is stable, there were no serious incidents. There were no deliberate provocations. Those separate cases that have been, were not systemic. Therefore, I would like to thank the Russian peacekeeping contingent for their good service, they provide security in the region, which for many years was in a state of frozen conflict, last year of full-scale war.'

The purpose of the trilateral meeting is to create conditions for the revival of Karabakh, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin considers it positive that full-scale hostilities are not being waged in Karabakh, although there are isolated incidents.

A lot has been done to resolve the situation in Karabakh over the past year, but, unfortunately, not all issues have been settled, Putin.

The Russian leader hopes that in the near future it will be possible to make decisions on unblocking transport communications in Karabakh.

Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia should strive to strengthen ties, not destroy them, said Putin.
