It's time for Azerbaijan and Armenia to act to strengthen mutual trust. This was said in an interview with the Voice of America by the American Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassador Richard Hoagland.

He expressed hope that in the near future certain steps will be taken in this direction.

According to Amb. Hoagland, the basis of the settlement is the search for compromises that will demilitarise the situation and bring peace, prosperity and security to the peoples of the region.

'The US continues to work on this task together with Russia, despite the strained relations between the two countries, nothing has changed in our joint work,' Hoagland said.
