World avoids Iran, but Pashinyan goes to Iran

Armenia continues to discuss the possibility of importing Iranian gas, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters, TASS informs.

'The issue of supplying Iranian natural gas is always on the agenda. We will discuss this issue until a concrete and profitable solution is found,' said the acting PM, adding that official Yerevan continues to negotiate with the Russian side about the price of gas.

'We are continuing negotiations and will do everything to protect the interests of our country,' said Pashinyan.

At the end of December 2018, the press-service of Gazprom reported that from January 1, the price of Russian natural gas for Armenia would be $165 per thousand cubic metres. Earlier, the Armenian side paid $150 per thousand cubic metres.
