Erdogan and Putin discuss work in Aghdam


Today, a telephone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports with reference to the Turkish President's Office.

According to the information, Erdogan, in a conversation with Putin, noted that the joint monitoring centre of the Russian Federation and Turkey in Nagorno-Karabakh (located in Aghdam district of Azerbaijan) is successfully fulfilling its task.

'The presidents discussed regional issues and steps that will be taken to develop Turkish-Russian relations. President Erdogan noted that the joint centre in Aghdam district successfully started its work on monitoring compliance with the ceasefire. He also said about the need to make joint efforts on all the issues to maintain the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh,' the statement of the Turkish President's Office says.

Erdogan also stated that Turkish, Russian and Azerbaijani experts can cooperate in improving the condition of roads and railways in Nagorno-Karabakh.

'President Erdogan said that Turkish and Russian specialists can meet with their Azerbaijani counterparts to make the roads and railways in Nagorno-Karabakh more efficient,' the statement says.
