Plane from Baku with Armenian servicemen arrived in Yerevan (Urgent, Updated)



Three Armenian servicemen have returned to Armenia from Azerbaijan. The plane landed at the Erebuni airport in Yerevan. Robert Vardanyan, Samvel Shukhyan, Seyran Tamrazyan were returned to Armenia. This was reported by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan.

'As a result of the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries, Azerbaijan returned three Armenian servicemen. We are full of hope that this process will find its logical continuation and come to an end soon,' said the office of Armenia's deputy PM.

As it became known to Azeri Daily, guided by the principles of humanism, the Azerbaijani government released three Armenian servicemen who took part in the military operation against Azerbaijan after the signing of the trilateral agreement of November 10, 2020.

The extradition of prisoners was carried out with the mediation mission of the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, Lieutenant-General Rustam Muradov.

Azerbaijani authorities released servicemen Rovert Vardanyan, Samvel Shukhyan, Seyran Tamrazyan.

In the next few hours, the servicemen will be delivered to Yerevan on board a special plane that has departed from Baku.

Official sources in law enforcement agencies told Azeri Daily that the investigation did not establish the involvement of these persons in the war crimes committed on the territory of Azerbaijan.
