Pashinyan explained why he uses Azerbaijani toponymy

During the parliamentary hour, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan explained why he used Azerbaijani toponymy (Eyvazli and Chayzami) to describe the situation in Syunik (Zangezur).

'This was done for a simple reason. To make it clear for the citizens of Armenia that the problem areas are not in the territory of Armenia or Soviet Armenia, but outside it, the situation Yerevan de jure adopted in its law on administrative division of 2010,' said Pashinyan.

Earlier, Pashinyan, commenting on the situation on the Goris-Kafan road, said that the incident took place near the Eyvazli and Chayzami sections, using Azerbaijani toponymy.
