Students from Azerbaijan leaders in Germany

Last year, the German Academic Exchanges Service (DAAD) financed the training of more than 145 thousand people from Germany and other countries. According to the German edition of Forschung & Lehre, the largest number of applications for training in Germany were submitted by students from Russia, the United States and Azerbaijan.

According to the DAAD report for 2018, which was presented in Berlin, the number of people willing to study on the exchange increased by 4% compared with 2017.

According to the DAAD, German students prefer exchange studies in Western Europe, the USA and Canada. The largest number of foreigners wishing to get an education in Germany has been included in the program 'Training scholarships for graduates.'

In connection with the presentation of the report, DAAD President Margrethe Wintermantel said that an increasing number of young foreigners are looking for opportunities to study in Germany, and Germans to study abroad.

'As a service of academic exchanges, we will not stop convincing people of the value of international exchanges,' she said.
