Azerbaijan will increase fines for quarantine violation

Fines for violation of anti-epidemic, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regimes are increasing in Azerbaijan. In this regard, Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offences is proposed in a new edition, local media write.

Currently, individuals violating the anti-epidemic, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regimes are fined from 100 to 200 manats, the project provides for fines of 200 to 400 manats. It is proposed that officials be fined not 1,500-2,000 manats, but in the amount of 3,000 to 4,000 manats.

Given the nature of the violation and the identity of the person who committed the misconduct, an administrative arrest of up to 1 month is applied; legal entities are fined from 2,000 to 5,000 manats. The project provides, taking into account the nature of the violation and the identity of the person who committed the misconduct, to apply administrative arrest for up to 1 month, it is proposed that legal entities be fined in the amount of 4,000 to 10,000 manats.

The project is included in the agenda of the meeting of the Milli Majlis, which will be held on June 29.
