Quarantine tightens in Azerbaijan: Schools and metro are closed again



In connection with a sharp increase in the number of patients with coronavirus, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan decided to introduce a number of restrictions within the framework of the special quarantine regime.

As reported in the Operational Headquarters, from 12 am on October 19 to 6 am on November 2, the work of the Baku Metro (subway) will be suspended.

Also, from October 19 to November 2, vacations are announced in all educational institutions.

In addition, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the number of employees of state structures is reduced to 30%, the rest are transferred to a remote mode of work. The private sector is also encouraged to apply this rule.
