Serbia talks about Azerbaijani natural gas

Azerbaijani natural gas will balance the cost of fuel on the Serbian market, said Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy and Mining Zorana Mihajlović.

'The Serbia-Bulgaria gas pipeline will provide Serbia with the opportunity to receive natural gas from other suppliers, such as the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in Greece, the TAP and TANAP gas pipelines, which are part of the Southern Gas Corridor transporting gas from the Caspian Sea and Middle East regions,' Zorana Mihajlović told Trend Agency.

Mihajlović noted that Bulgaria is already receiving natural gas from Azerbaijan and from the Greek LNG terminal. 'And we hope that following this example we will be able to diversify our natural gas supply routes. This certainly not only contributes to the reliability of supplies, but also has a positive effect on balancing gas prices on the Serbian market,' added the Serbian deputy PM.
