Hulusi Akar spoke out in support of Azerbaijan again

Turkish Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar visited the headquarters of the Combat Air Force Command in the city of Eskisehir in the northwest of the country. From here, the air operations of the Turkish Army are coordinated as part of the counter-terrorism operations Pençe-Şimşek and Pençe-Yıldırım, conducted by the country's armed forces in northern Iraq. This is reported by Anadolu Agency.

The head of the Turkish defence department is accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Yashar Guler, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force, General Hasan Kucukakyuz.

Hulusi Akar said that 7 more terrorists, including one of the leaders of the terrorist organisation, have been neutralised as part of Pençe-Şimşek and Pençe-Yıldırım operations in northern Iraq. In total, 53 terrorists have been neutralised since the start of operations on April 23.

According to the minister, among the weapons seized from the PKK are an anti-aircraft gun with a remote control 'Dochka,' modern radio stations, mortars and other means. 'Unfortunately, some of the countries that we considered friendly have donated missiles to the PKK. Therefore, each of them poses a great danger for us, a great risk,' said the Turkish minister.

Speaking about the fight against the PKK terrorist group, H. Akar noted that the PKK 'cannot represent our Kurdish brothers in any way,' and that Turkey, the Turkish Armed Forces have no problems with the Kurds, all Kurds are citizens of the Republic of Turkey: 'PKK in no way can represent our Kurdish brothers. Among the members of the organisation are Armenians, Europeans, Africans and, unfortunately, Turks. In short, the PKK is a terrorist organisation. Turkey's only goal is to fight terrorists.'

At the same time, Turkey continues to support friendly and fraternal Azerbaijan and Libya, Akar stressed.
