Bayramov and Cavusoglu talked about regional situation


Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey Jeyhun Bayramov and Mevlut Cavusoglu met on Monday on the side-lines of the anniversary forum of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade.

The press-service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reported that at the meeting the ministers exchanged views on some issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as the current situation in the region.

The ministers also discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of international organisations.

'I had a meeting with my brother, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. This time in Belgrade. We discussed bilateral relations and preparations for the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (Turkic Council) scheduled for November 12 in Istanbul,' Cavusoglu wrote on Twitter.

The member countries of the Turkic Council are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Turkmenistan is not yet a member of the structure. Hungary has observer status.
