On Friday, January 14, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an official meeting. The main topics of their conversation were all areas of cooperation, the result of the meeting was 6 signed bilateral documents.

As a result of the talks, the parties made statements at the Mariinsky Palace. Also, at the end of the meeting of the presidents, Ukrainian-Azerbaijani talks in an expanded format and the signing of bilateral documents took place.

In particular, an agreement on cooperation in the field of food safety was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The corresponding document was signed by the heads of the joint commission of the two countries on economic cooperation -- Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk and Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov.

The Ministries of Economy of Ukraine and Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on issues of urgent cooperation in bilateral trade. The document was signed by Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk and Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov.

A memorandum of understanding between the ministries on cooperation in the agrarian sector was signed by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov.

A memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the energy sector was signed between the joint-stock company National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine represented by the Chairman of the board of the company Yuriy Vitrenko and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) represented by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov.

A memorandum of understanding and cooperation on cooperation in the field of land relations, management of state-owned lands and the state land cadastre was signed between the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan. The document was signed by Serhiy Zavadsky, Acting Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, and Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the meeting discussed the prospects for new mutually beneficial infrastructure and privatization projects. Another hot topic is the development of transit traffic, as well as the aviation industry.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Ilham Aliyev and the entire Azerbaijani delegation for the talks and warm relations with Ukraine. The President of the country also expressed hope that successful cooperation will begin between the countries.

In turn, Ilham Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with Ukraine in all areas. He thanked the Ukrainian leader for his hospitality and also invited Volodymyr Zelensky to pay an official visit to Baku.
