Leyla Aliyeva came to Khatai with 'Our yard' (Photo)



Within the framework of the 'Our yard' project, carried out on the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, work continues on the improvement of yards.

As it became known to Azeri Daily, the opening of a landscaped courtyard in the Khatai district of Baku took place today. The renovated courtyard, located at 9, 11, 13, 17 Mazahir Rustamov Street, covers residential buildings in which over 2,300 people live.

Leyla Aliyeva herself took part in the opening of the landscaped courtyard, and also participated in the mass tree planting event.

Local residents expressed gratitude to Leyla Aliyeva for the implementation of the 'Our yard' project, thanks to which the lifestyle of the townspeople is qualitatively improved. This project makes a special contribution to the organisation of leisure activities for young people, for whom conditions for sports are created.

It should be noted that the main goal of the 'Our Yard' project, which covers all districts of the capital, is to maintain Baku courtyards in an ecologically clean and comfortable state, restore greenery that forms the basis of urban ecology, form a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable conditions for residents.

In the next landscaped courtyards, opportunities for the convenient movement of disabled people and people with disabilities are also provided, in order to create favourable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, effective leisure time for young people and develop the habit of regularly playing sports, various sports facilities have been installed, football and chess grounds have been built, children's playgrounds. The yard also has 13 gazebos, benches and containers for waste, birdhouses and houses for yard cats.

Taking into account the wishes of the residents, new lighting poles were installed in the courtyard, and new elevators were installed in the entrances, the façade, roof and entrances of buildings were completely renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing landscaping, in accordance with the rules of the special quarantine regime, 600 additional trees have been planted in the territory.
